about

Emilie Nana comes up with the organically lush bouncing “Like You” and the techy vocal-spiced “September 10th”, perfectly completed with a magnificent remix monster by I-Robots, that ́s gonna hit you like steroids.
After several EPs, remixes and compilations released on different labels as well as the lives performances throughout Europe, the young Cameroonian Emilie Nana finally home preparing her first album.
Emilie’s musical background reaches from her mothers mix tapes of Larry Levans genre defining sets at the Paradise Garage, her fathers 7" and 12 " inch collection of Funk & Raggae to french hip-hop and drug fused mix sessions by Ricardo Villalobos playing eternally at Zürichs Dachkantine. Only few can claim to navigate as effortless between American, African and European music as she does.

Originally from Lyon - France she started producing at the age of 19 she released a dozen of tracks on fine small underground labels such as Compost (Black Label #61), Stattmusik, Raoul and St Vitus. Encouraged by the guiding ear of her musical mentor Glenn Underground from Chicago, she is now working night and day on her debut long player.
Writing lyrics, playing chords and programming beats in her Studio in Geneva, Emilie’s stage career can also show a proud track record. The self-made woman already rocked Berlin (Golden Gate, Magic Sunday) Zürich (Zukunft, Frida's Büxe), Bern (Klub Elf), Lausanne (Mad, Le Bourg), Lyon (Le Sonic) and Geneva (Jack's House, Paresseux, Shark, etc...) with a tight, uncompromising and absolutely fresh live performance.
She started her DJ career the oldskool way, being invited by Westradio airing from Greece to host her own monthly radio show, where she selects goodies from then and now. Now spreading the Nana infection even further, you see her behind the turntables of the sweating clubs of the world.

I-Robots aka Gianluca Pandullo began his DJ career in the early '80s playing the various genres of "Black Music" that included Funky, Disco, and African Rhythms, with a personal interest in Krautrock, Cosmic & Electronic music and these roots actually are still evident in his Techno and House music oriented selections, incorporating traces of "Freestyle", Electro, Deep, Ethnic, Jazzy & Dub; all of it meshes perfectly with his innate ability to read the crowd and create an instant mood. He ́s also renowned for his highly sought after italo-disco/electro/techno compilations on IRMA and on his own brainchild Opilec Music. Italians do it better...I-ROBOTS IS SYSTEMATIC !!!
